Carla Tahan, M.D.

Dr. Tahan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from UCLA in 1985.

She participated in a Masters of Public Health Program at California State University, Fresno, where her emphasis was on health education in schools.

She has also taught elementary school as well as high school math and sciences in the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Fresno Unified School District.

She attended medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine from 1987-1991.

She completed her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 1994 and became Board Certified in Pediatrics.

She worked as a general pediatrician in the San Fernando Valley, and later in the Conejo Valley.

In 1998, wanting to practice in a more personalized way, she started her own practice. She was in Oak Park for 17 years and is now practicing in Westlake Village.

Dr. Tahan is the mother of two wonderful teens of her own. She loves to cook, is an avid reader, and loves all the outdoor activities Southern California has to offer.

She still loves teaching and often mentors high school and college students in her office.
